Four Top Tips to Manage Your Renovation Team

TIP ONE

The first tip is the biggest but also the most important one. The key is simply communication.

When you talking about managing your team your communication skills will mean a world of difference when it comes to renovating for profit. If your trades don’t know what you want and how are they suppose to make you happy? How are they meant to get that end result?

Talking and explaining and then checking to see whether your team understands what you’re communicating is key. It’s all about connecting on a deeper level and a deeper layer.

You need to cater to the way you communicate with each member of your team. Finding out what not only works best for yourself but for them – whether it be verbal or physically showing someone how to do it.

TIP TWO

Tip two is all about trust.

Trust them to do their job, communicating your goals and ideas you know and then reminding your trades of those goals. Like all great practises, there is no harm in giving helpful reminders from simply just sending text of important milestones in projects. This means that we avoid disappointment.

But there is a massive difference between putting up a checklist on the walls and breathing down the neck of your trades. While you need to make sure that you give your trades the personal space they deserve. Making sure you giving them their breathing space but also making sure that you’re overseeing their task.

TIP THREE

Step three is all about being flexible.

The other important part of managing your team is to keep on top of this schedule but be flexible with any speed bumps that may come along. Anything can happen, whether it’s a change of weather or delays in delivery. Making sure that you are flexible with your timeline is key in managing your team!

TIP FOUR

Our last massive tip for working with your team is paying on time!

Nobody likes to be kept waiting when it comes to being paid especially no your trades after they’ve done the work already. So the minute you get your invoices and the work is complete make sure you pay those invoices.

So, when it comes to renovating for wealth keeping your team very happy is the key thing. Follow these couple of tips when it comes to managing your renovation team can help you complete your goals more efficiently and effectively.
